One of the exquisite characteristics of pottery is that it brings the richness of the earth shaped into beautiful forms into your home to be used every day. The clay I use is stoneware clay which is fired to cone 5 (mid-fire) and it has pulverized pieces of other fired clay in it to give it grit and texture. This stoneware clay is very durable and the glazes I use are food safe with no lead. The matte glazes will show some wear over time as the surface is a little easier to get marked up by utensils or coffee stains.

I will continue to add more functional pottery here as examples of what I can make for you. This vase was commissioned by a dear friend in memory of her brother to celebrate his 50th birthday.
